In the 1960's, a group of underground music lovers formed a small collective in the Pacific Northwest. Originally named after a local river, they called themselves Palouse. Palouse kept a small but dedicated membership. However, as the founders were getting ready to hand leadership to the next generation, no new members were interested in stepping up to take the reins. In the waning days of Palouse, an ambitious concert was planned to coincide with an eclipse over the namesake Palouse Falls. Appaloosa Music Festival happened for a few hours and then disappeared completely. Few accounts of that day have been recorded. This page is an attempt to gather any information about that day.
